Covenant Love

We look forward

To the day,

When we hear

Our Bridegroom say

“Come, My Beloved

today I proclaim,

to love you forever

and give you, My Name.

Together we will spend

Eternity together,

Come, My Beloved

Be Mine forever.”

As we wait

For this special day,

We take care of ourselves

And live the right way.

We sit daily

At the Father’s Throne,

Seeking to fulfill His plan

Until we are home.

We walk with honor

That is clear to all,

We seek daily

To fulfill His call.

We reach out

To young and old,

And our love is real

It never grows cold.

We’re someone you can call

Night or day,

And you can trust us with

Whatever you say.

We’re filled with

God’s Grace,

And His beauty is visible

On our face.

Our heart is tender

To those who hurt,

We always offer hope

And are never curt.

We have such joy

That is clear to see,

It encourages others

To have faith and believe.

We ready ourselves

As His Bride,

And it’s in His Presence

Where we do abide.

So should you see

Our eyes looking above,

We’re looking at our King

The One that we love.

SCRIPTURE:

And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you Genesis 17:7

But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises  Hebrews 8:6

“This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,”  then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more” Hebrews 8:16-17

PRAYER:

Father God,

I thank You for establishing Your Covenant with us that is unbreakable. What comfort this brings to my heart. You have established it and You have called and chosen us as Your own. Thank You for choosing us. Thank You for wanting to spend time with us. Thank You for Loving us. Your Love is Eternal and Faithful. You never walk away from us. You have placed Your qualities in us that we may be a light to others and offer Your Love and Hope to a hurting and dying world. Use us today Father God, to be that hand of hope to those in need. May we pierce through the darkness with the Words You give us to speak. One Word, one touch, can heal the broken. May we be that today Father God. May we go forth as Your healers into this broken land and restore the joy of our God! May they see only You when they look upon us. May they come to know by experience, Your Covenant Love. Amen.
