Sitting with the Savior
At the break of each new day
And leaning in to hear from Him
And what He has to say.
He tells me I am His
In the quiet of the morn;
As I linger in His love
And know I am reborn.
He pours His grace on me
As I sit with Him so still;
As I listen for His voice
And His presence, I do feel.
His mercies never cease
Even when I share my wrongs,
And His Spirit never leaves
So I sing a brand new song.
I’m secure in His great love,
But I ask myself just why
Yet, I know He can be trusted
‘Cause God just never lies.
Oh, there is no greater love
And that will never end.
Yet, the puzzle does remain
That He would even call me friend!
So I settle down in Him
‘Cause doubts, they do not count
And know He paid the price
‘Cause I’m not lost
But now I’m found!
