With pen in hand and on bended knee
I treasure all my time with Thee
Listening for what You would say
That would lead me throughout this day.
Your Words are sure and ever True
Teaching me what I must do
Leading me along my way
Giving me strength so I do not stray.
Your Words dispel the darkness with Your Light
And reveal the enemy’s plans before the fight
I’m dressed in Your armor standing tall
Dressed in Your Word I will not fall.
I have a destiny to fulfill
A destiny the enemy cannot kill
It was planned before time
I am Yours, and You are mine.
So daily with my pen, I’ll sing
My deep-felt love for my King
Thanking You with all my heart
For all the Love that You impart.
I’ll make my way to our secret place
That’s filled with Your Glory and Grace
And snuggle close to You
This my King, I long to do.
There let me abide
Right beside my King’s side
Fulfilling Your purpose and plan
As I walk daily throughout this land.
