A Mother’s Joy

A mother’s joy is a true gift from God.

A mother’s joy
Is found in her son
When it’s to her arms
He does daily run.

A mother’s joy
Is found in her girl
When they laugh and play
And dance and twirl.

A mother’s joy
Is felt in the touch of his hand
Or when she watches her little boy
Suddenly becomes a man.

A mother’s joy
Is felt in the lightest of kisses
And when they’re away
It’s their faces she misses.

A mother’s joy
Is felt in their hug
And when they cry
It’s her heartstrings they tug.

A mother’s joy
Is felt each day
As she thanks the Lord
She has them today.

A mother’s joy
Will last for all time
It never wavers
No greater love you’ll find.

A mother’s joy
Can always be heard
When she speaks of her children
It fills every word.

A mother’s joy
Is a true gift from God
To others, we’re too passionate
To others, we’re odd.

A mother’s joy
Is a bond for you and for me
It is not something fleeting
It’s for all eternity.
