They highlight the importance of having a personal relationship with Jesus outside of their church or pastor to withstand any negative situation that may occur in the church. They also argue against broad-brushing all churches or pastors based on the actions of a few and emphasize the value and significance of the church in a believer’s life. The episode also addresses the danger of putting pastors on a pedestal, highlighting that they are human and flawed and should not replace the place of Jesus in people’s lives.
