They emphasize the prevailing problems in church communities, starting from early church times.
Church hurt is contrasted with the hurt experienced in other areas of life, such as family and work, and it is concluded that in many cases, people tend to leave the church when they’re hurt rather than seek resolution. In sharing their experiences, they also highlight the importance of love, unity, and commitment to healing from church hurt.
Despite negative experiences, we need to express unwavering faith and hope in the church, with the aim to delve into the healing process when hurt does take place.
