Oh How You Comfort Me

You talk to me as my closest Friend.

Oh, how You comfort me

when everything goes wrong,

when I’m feeling weak

You always make me strong.

Oh, how You comfort me

when battles are long,

whenever I am struggling

You enable me to go on.

Oh, how You comfort me

when the night closes in,

I find You’re right beside me

You talk to me as my closest Friend.

Oh, how You comfort me

when I feel I can’t breathe,

Your Word breathes Life in me

and once more I believe!

Oh, how You comfort me

You take hold of my hand,

reminding me You walk with me

every step throughout this land.

Oh, how You comfort me

You reveal who I am,

chosen and set apart by You

I’m part of Your Divine plan.

Oh, how You comfort me

teaching me Your Word,

that I may go forth boldly

and proclaim what I’ve heard.

Oh, how You comfort me

and call me by name,

and since the day I met You

I’ve never been the same.

Oh, how You comfort me

with You let me stay,

in Your Presence forever

to live, worship, love, and obey.

2 Corinthians 1:4

He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.
