Messing With the Enemy’s Plans

God is working behind the scenes in the enemy’s camp to bring about victory for the believer.

So Absalom and all the men of Israel said, “The advice of Hushai the Archite is better than the advice of Ahithophel.” For the Lord had purposed to defeat the good advice of Ahithophel, to the intent that the Lord might bring disaster on Absalom. 2 Samuel 17:14

Regardless of who the enemy is, they always make plans to harm those who are doing good. In battles, one side will always attempt to frustrate and disrupt those plans if possible. In order to frustrate the plans, one must be able to get inside information and get inside the enemy’s camp, which is often difficult to impossible.

Absalom had been given advice on how to capture David by two different men. Rather than following the good advice of Ahithophel, he followed the advice of Hushai, which was God’s plan to bring about disaster on Absalom.

Going through life, believers will have enemies around them that are out to destroy them. Sometimes it appears as if the enemy is too large and cannot be overcome at all. On the outside, it appears as if the enemy will win, and there is nothing one can do about it.

Although it can appear hopeless, God may be working on the inside of the enemy’s camp to bring about His victory. He has ways of guiding the enemy into believing or doing things that will bring about their destruction. He will work things out to frustrate their plans and protect His people.

Satan is leading the world and is the author of confusion and destruction. God will use those things against him to bring about His plans.

Rather than fearing and running in fear from the enemy, the believer must be willing to lean upon God and trust him completely. God is working behind the scenes in the enemy’s camp to bring about victory for the believer.

The world is out to destroy you in whatever manner possible. There may be some seeking advice on how to make that happen.

Rather than fearing the world, put your trust in God. He sees and knows what is occurring better than you do and can bring about a frustration of the world’s plans against you. Just as God worked in mysterious ways to bring you to Him, He will work in ways to take down the enemy in the end.

As you hold on to and trust God, you will see victory that leads into eternity.

Today, I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will trust God’s plans in your life; that you will seek God when the enemy is against you; that you will see God frustrate the plans of the enemy; and that you will trust God will provide you victory over the enemy.
