I Shall Arise

All heaven cheered for the battle was won.

All heaven heard

As the Father cried

That dark dreaded day

When His Son died.

The heavens thundered

As the ground shook

His Son hung dying

His last breath took.

The heavens roared

At the Father’s decree:

“This is My Son,

He will be free.”

Angels stood ready

For that call

To save their Master

And see Satan fall.

But Jesus fought

This fight alone

He needed no help

From the Heavenly Throne.

Satan’s cries in hell

Could be heard

Laying helpless, defeated

Not saying a word.

He would not

Get up again

This fight he’d lose

He would not win.

All heaven cheered

For the battle was won

The Father cried out:

“Come Home, My Son.

You did all that

You said You’d do.

Come Home, My Son

Let Me Love on You.”

Jesus looked up

With tear-filled eyes

“I’m coming, My Father,

I shall arise.”
