“So set a fire down in my soul
That I can’t contain and I can’t control
I want more of You, God
I want more of You, God!”
I had been in one of those inexplicable dry places of late.
Yet I had never lost my yearning for God. More probably, He never for one moment lost His grip on me!
Today, a burning desire for God’s Presence just invaded me as it has done before. It was like Jeremiah all over again.
“Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not.” Jeremiah 20:9
That’s when the words of the song came back to me, too!
I felt the burning in my bones and in my heart. All I wanted was to be in His Presence — to seek His Face — to hear His Voice — to experience once again and again the weight and joy of His Glory.
I know that very soon we will all experience this when His Shekinah Glory falls on our meetings.
When we will be out planting stakes, opening both old and new Wells of Revival, when we will be so deep in the river that we will be unable to stand but rather will fall prostrate before His throne and worship Him — our Saviour, creator God!
One thing I have learned over the years — NEVER presume upon His presence or His Glory.
Always be ready to receive it, but never presume upon it!
Strip your hearts of all that would be of you, and just come as little children before Him.
Minister to God, and let Him minister to you in His power and Glory.
Let Him introduce you to “on earth as it is in heaven!”
Come behind the veil and seek only His Presence, and you will find Him.
“Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the LORD.” Jeremiah 29:12-14a
Oh, brothers and sisters, it is time to seek the LORD with all your heart.
He is waiting for you!
In your quiet time, slip behind the veil, seek His presence.
You’ll find Him, and the joy of His presence, the weight of His Glory, will fall on you.
You’ll never be the same again!
