Come Away Again and Stay

You gently wipe each tear, collecting each one.

To those grieving a loss of their loved one-

Me crying out:
Sinking down so low, I can’t catch my breath
It’s hard to even breathe,
You quickly come near to hold me close
And remind me, You’ll never leave.

This pain that’s so deep You’ve felt too
When You briefly lost Your Only Son,
You know the depths of my heartache and pain
And how my whole world has come undone.

You gently wipe each tear, collecting each one
For they are precious in Your eyes,
I see the anguish in Your face
As You listen to my deep cries.

As my heart is breaking
You remind me Yours is too,
We are joined as One
And You feel all I do.

So in my pain and suffering
I am not alone,
For You feel what I feel
Even though You are on The Throne!

The Father’s Response:
Many do not stop to realize the bond
Between the Father and His child,
It’s something Divine, Pure, Treasured,
Set apart and undefiled.

I’m here to gather you up
When you feel you can’t go on.
Just lean into Me, My child
And I will make you strong.

Lay your weary head upon Me
Listen to My beating heart,
Take your time, no need to leave
Until you feel ready again to start.

Then, when you’re ready
I’ll be there to lead you on your Way,
And whenever you find you need to
Come away with Me again, and stay.
