Blessings of Daniel – Part 4

When the child of God binds his faith and position, it is a strong cord indeed.

As for these four young men, God gave them knowledge and skill in all literature and wisdom; and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.
Daniel 1:17 (NKJV)

Today, we come to the third blessing of Daniel from God as a result of his faithfulness – the blessing of Godly wisdom. This was evident in his learning and spiritual insight through visions. There is a similarity between Daniel and Joseph (Genesis 41) in his dealings with the Egyptians.

Thus, in Daniel, we see the binding of Godly blessing with his worldly position. When the child of God binds his faith and position, it is a strong cord indeed. As I thought of this, I was reminded of my dad repairing broken things with a glue called Araldite – its strength was found in the mixing of two compounds. Another example is that of steel, which is a mixture of iron and carbon.

Dear Reader, from our study of Daniel’s life, we can see the necessity of faithfulness to Almighty God. Our Father God is a loving Father who loves to bless His children, guiding them by His Holy Spirit and Word. May we seek Godly knowledge each day.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
James 1:5
