Nail-Scarred Hands

Out of death, He brought life.

Posted on

Reach out your hand
And give in to His plan.
Jesus reached out to you
With His nail-scarred hands.

He made a way
To say yes to your day
So hand over to Him
Your fears from within.

The sorrow and loss
That He bore on that cross
And the nails in His hands
As He died for all men.

The scars that He bore
And the love that He wore
When He suffered and bled
As He put sin to bed.

Bleeding and raw
Yet in the future, He saw
The sins of all men
He paid for back then.

Out of death
He brought life
So with hands lifted high
We can praise His dear Name
Without any shame.

Oh, how could we not
But be undone by the cost
And place in His hands
What we don’t understand.

So give Him your “yes,”
And He’ll take care of the rest
‘Cause He carried your shame
With His wonderful Name!

“And it was the third hour when they crucified Him.” Mark 15:25 (ESV)

“Then he said to Thomas, ‘Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.’ Thomas answered him, ‘My Lord and my God!’ Jesus said to him, ‘Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” John 20:27-29 (ESV)
