And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved. Matthew 10:22
Hatred is an emotion that runs rampant throughout most nations. People hate what is going on, they hate sickness, they hate the wealthy, they hate the poor, they hate systems, and many other things. Violence constantly occurs due to the levels of hatred in the hearts of the people. No one likes to be hated, but it happens, even though the world says that all should get along together.
Matthew records Jesus telling the disciples as He sends them out that they will be hated because of Him. He also says that whoever endures to the end will be saved.
The world claims to be tolerant of everyone and to love everyone. While this is said on the surface, below the surface people are filled with hatred. They are led by Satan, who hates all mankind and wants to destroy all by any means possible.
Some in the church are being led to believe that they should be loved by the world. They change their ways of living to follow the ways of the world while claiming to believe in Jesus, so that they may be loved by the world.
Believers who are standing strong and true for God will be hated by the world. This hatred occurs because true believers will stand up against sin and speak the truth. The world, led by Satan, does not want to hear the truth and will hate the believer.
Instead of backing down on the truth, believers need to stand true to God, being His witness and enduring the hatred. Life on this earth and the hatred against believers are only temporary. One day the believer will step into eternity in heaven and the wicked will be destroyed.
If you are proclaiming the whole truth of God’s word and being His witness, the world will hate you. Some will rise up and openly proclaim their hatred of you. This is because they do not want to hear the truth that Jesus proclaimed and is. Do not give up or give in to that hatred. Continue to walk in the ways of God, believing in Jesus and proclaiming His Truth. In the end, you will be saved and rewarded with eternal life in heaven with God, if you do not give up.
Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that God will give you strength to continue walking with Him as the world hates you; that God will open your eyes to the lies and hatred of the world; and that you will endure with God until He brings you into heaven.
