Women of Influence Focus On Their Blessings

This simple shift in perspective can transform your life, filling it with hope and optimism.

Have you ever reached the end of your day and just sat there recounting everything you didn’t get done? Then your whole evening is ruined. I had to learn to count my blessings instead of what I didn’t do or have.

What is the difference between thankful, grateful, and blessed?

Thankful is usually something we do internally. Sometimes, we say thank you out loud, but being thankful is being internally satisfied with how things are going. I’m thankful I got this camera working again because it wasn’t working.

Grateful is when I express it to someone and am grateful for what they’ve done for me or the blessings they’ve provided. We combine the two, don’t we?

Blessed is recognizing it’s God who gave us those circumstances. Yes, we can be thankful, grateful, and blessed simultaneously.

What changes when we think about what we’ve done or what someone else or God has done for us? Whether we’re thankful internally, express it to others, or recognize that God set up the circumstances, it changes our mindset. It changes our point of view from looking at what we haven’t gotten or done to what God has allowed us to get done.

Then, we can be thankful for the situation, circumstances, and information that help us accomplish a task. I’m grateful to tell you how God helped me solve a problem.

Thankful, grateful, and blessed! When you count your blessings, you’ll be amazed at how your day changes. You’ll find that your stress is reduced, you sleep better, and you get more done. This simple shift in perspective can transform your life, filling it with hope and optimism.
