Where Salvation Comes From

Do not put your trust in this world or in yourself, both will fail you in the end.

and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” Revelation 7:10

Figuring out how to survive an extremely difficult situation is the goal of most people. First, they will try everything that they can on their own before turning towards others for the extra needed help. Faith and trust are put in organizations, groups, or people to provide what is needed in the way it is needed. When those organizations or people don’t work out, many go into depression and give up.

John sees a vision during a difficult time of an extremely large group of people crying out loudly that salvation belongs to God and to the Lamb.

Trouble and pain will rise up in one’s life. As the world gets closer to the time of Christ’s return, that trouble will rise more and more. Persecution against believers will become more common and more violent.

Many in the church see troubles rising up and are running to the government to help out ease the problems. Anger rises against governmental organizations for not easing the troubles that come up. Focus is put on self and others to provide the desired salvation from trouble.

Those who have their hearts right with God and are focused on the return of Jesus will understand where their salvation from the problems will come from. Trust will be put in God rather than the government and organizations of this world. The things of this world will fail and fall short, God will never fail.

God will fill the believer with His Holy Spirit to give them strength to continue to walk through difficult times, no matter how bad they get. In the end, it is Jesus who will save, not self or this world. Salvation belongs to God and Jesus, not this world.

Going through life will bring about many troubles for you. As a believer persecution will rise as the end of this world gets closer. Do not put your trust in this world or in yourself, both will fail you in the end. Put your trust in God and in Jesus. It is God who will bring about salvation to your body and soul. God will walk with you through the hard times and bring you into eternal glory and life some day in the future. Only God can save you.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know God’s presence in your life; that you will put your trust in God; that you will know it is God who will save you; and that you will see the salvation of Jesus each day.
