This is He of whom it is written, “‘Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you.’ Luke 7:27
He is taking us back to what happened before the fall.
Back to our true identity.
Satan said, “You will be like God”.
Somehow, they forgot, they were already made in the image and likeness of God.
As we so often do.
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; Genesis 1:26
Don’t forget who you are, beloved.
Don’t forget to Whom you belong.
Here is a revelation…
So He drove the man out; and at the east of the Garden of Eden, He stationed the cherubim and the flaming sword which turned every direction to guard the way to the tree of life. Genesis 3:24
What does God call His Word in scripture?
He calls it THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT.
He didn’t place the cherubim with a flaming sword to keep people out.
He placed it to lead us back.
Read it again.
“He stationed the cherubim and the flaming sword which turned every direction to guard THE WAY to the tree of life.”
Your Sword.
His Word.
It’s the way that leads us back
To The Tree of Life.
There is One Way.
He is The Way.
His Word is The Way Back.
“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. ” John 4:16
