Waiting Confidently

Jesus is coming back again!

Posted on

“Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.”

Acts 1:11 (NASB)

We can only imagine how the disciples felt as they watched their Master and friend depart into Heaven; it can’t have been easy – it certainly was an awesome sight beyond anything they had seen before. If there had been doubt in any of their minds about His identity, then this ascension wiped it out of their mind.

When a loved one has been away and has promised to return, we look forward to that day with confidence. In the Bible, Jesus said He would leave and return – we too can look forward in confidence. He is coming back again!

“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.”
John 14:1-3

Dear Reader, let us not be anxious about His return…it will happen when God decides it will happen. Only the Father knows the hour and day; let us leave it in His hands, knowing that He is a promise keeping God – Hallelujah! Be sure to be ready to go meet the Lord Jesus in the air any day soon.
