Recently in Sunday morning pre-service prayer, I received an extremely powerful word from the Lord. He said, “Visitation to Vision.”
I knew immediately what this word meant and how timely it is for the season we are in. We are going to receive visitations from the Holy Spirit, and within those visitations, we are going to receive visions from God. For anyone who is dealing with confusion, chaos, or turmoil, the heart of God is to encounter you and awaken you to the vision and plan he created specifically for you and your life!
In order to get this vision, you must first have a visitation. Lots of people would say, “How do you have a Visitation?” Let’s break it down! First, you must position yourself. What I did personally was, I fasted from 9-5 and whenever I would typically have lunch or a snack, I would go to the place of prayer. During the week I did that fast, I received several prophetic words and insight from the Lord because I positioned myself to receive from him.
Proverbs 29:18 says, “When there is no clear prophetic vision, people quickly wander astray. But when you follow the revelation of the word, heaven’s bliss fills your soul.” TPT.
You need to have a clear prophetic vision from God over your life, or else, you won’t stay on course with the plan of God for your life. If you don’t have that clear, prophetic vision for what you are doing or where your life is headed, intentionally lean into the Lord about getting it. Pray and fast for a visitation from the Lord to receive your vision!
God loves to spend time with his children, but we have to position ourselves to be able to receive the vision we need. Whether it be a fast or just spending extremely intentional time in prayer, get your vision from the Lord and absolutely run with it. We are living in a go season. There is no more time to waste, so if you are going to do something massive and important for the Kingdom of God, the time is now.
Here are practical steps to receiving your visitation and vision from God:
1. Position Yourself
– Pray and Fast for a Vision from God
2. Seek the Lord Intentionally
– Carve out bonus time to pray and ask God to give you direction
3. Walk In It
– Once God gives you a vision, walk boldly and confidently into it
