This word is going to help you, encourage you, and spark you to move forward and advance as we get ready to head into a new year. As I was getting ready to preach recently, God dropped a word in my spirit minutes before I was going to speak. The word he gave me was: “Urgency.”
He told me to look up the definition of urgency, so I did, and it said, “The importance that requires swift action.” I always correlated the word urgency with doing just anything very quickly, but the Lord was showing me that what requires urgency is something with great importance. Before I preached, I leaned into the Lord a little more to see what he had in store for this specific word. The holy spirit said, “Tell people to reposition themselves for sudden breakthrough.” There was an emphasis on “re-position” not just “position” because some people were in the correct position, but they got out of it due to other circumstances.
In Galatians it talks about not getting weary in well doing, but in this past season, some have fallen out of position because they became weary from the work in a past season. Later that week in our mentoring program I received not 1, or 2, or even 3, but 4 calls where people told me that they had re-positioned themselves and started revisiting old prophetic words and really locking back in with the Lord.
Immediately I thought, “This is exactly the word that the Lord was giving me!” They were saying that ever since they repositioned themselves with the Lord they had started to receive a “sudden breakthrough.” This only confirmed the word “urgency” that the Lord had given me.
After the Lord had given me the word “urgency” and “sudden breakthrough” he had even more in store for this word. The rest of the word is “position for increase, favor, and blessing.” Over the past few months, we have been really leaning into our church, our mentoring, and everything that God has given us, and we have seen financial breakthrough after financial breakthrough. We always sow out of our ministry, personal, and church finances, which is a huge reason for the constant increase, but we also align ourselves with the prophetic words in this season, which are favor, blessings, and increase.
At least once a day, oftentimes more, my wife will say, “Wow, God has been so good to us!” God is looking for those who are ready to grow and chase after everything that He is wanting to do in this urgent season.
When you get in that place of constant favor and blessings where everything is growing, we call that “the flow”. If you could just get into the flow of life, your entire life would change. My wife and I were talking to our friends the other day, and they are in a next-level flow. Their walk with the Lord is amazing, their marriage is very strong, and everything they place their hands on prospers. Why? Because they got in the flow. There is no better place to be in an urgent season than in the flow with the Lord.
This is a season of swift action with the Lord, we need to align ourselves with the will of God so we don’t miss anything with God in this season.
