Recently in one of our prayer meetings, I was praying and suddenly got the sense from the Lord that He wanted me to pray for people who have been dealing with the spirit of fear. I was reminded of some people in our community and friends that we have who had mentioned dealing with fear recently. So I began to pray for them specifically.
As I was praying, I heard the Lord say, “Many people are paralyzed with fear.” Then I saw a prophetic picture of different animals becoming paralyzed by fear as they heard the roar of a lion nearby. 1 Peter 5:8 says, “Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”
When you are moving forward and advancing the kingdom of God, one of the first things the enemy will do to try to stop you is he will try to paralyze you with fear. The enemy will often begin to make noise and create distractions to try to make you too fearful to advance. In this season, do not allow the roar of the enemy to drown out the voice of God in your life. Refuse to be paralyzed by fear and continue to move forward in faith despite the opposition you may face!
Just the other day, I received a negative report that would have cost me thousands of dollars. Before I panicked or took any kind of action, I took a deep breath and spent some time in prayer over the situation. Then I went about the practical tasks I needed to do to look into this negative report and began to take care of it. After looking into it, it ended up being an administrative and technical error from the company we were dealing with, and the entire situation was rectified.
I could have easily allowed fear to paralyze me as soon as I received that negative report but instead, I took my situation before the Lord in prayer. Then within 30 minutes, the entire problem had been resolved. How much time and energy do we waste when we don’t take our issues to the Lord in prayer? How many days or even weeks could we have wasted if we spent time worrying about situations instead of praying over them? In this season, you must make it your priority to take everything to the Lord in prayer so that you are not overtaken by fear but instead are able to triumph over it!
One of my prophetic friends sent this to me the other day. They said, “The fear the world has will be a big reason for the acceleration of the Kingdom of God in this season. There is a leadership shift and a wealth transfer coming. Stay humble before God, the enemy is causing fear but God will capitalize off of it.”
I thought that this was such a powerful revelation and such a confirmation of what the Lord had just spoken to me. In this season, there are many people who have become paralyzed by fear. They are looking at the natural state of the nations and the world and are becoming increasingly afraid. However, we know because we belong to God that we have no reason to fear.
We know that God is ruling and reigning and His Kingdom is being advanced despite what we may be seeing in the natural. Isaiah 41:10 says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” I believe the truth of this scripture is going to be a powerful tool for many people in this season to triumph over fear.
Another scripture the Lord brought me to concerning this word and this season was John 14:27 which says, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” We must allow the peace of God to be our portion in this hour.
It is critical for us in this season to walk in faith and refuse to let the enemy rattle us. Many times we do not know what kind of faith we have until it is tested. I believe that faith is being tested in this season. However, as long as you grow through what you are going through you will come out of this season with stronger and deeper faith than ever before!
My charge to you is to be courageous, don’t let fear overtake you and boldly begin to build those things that God has called you to build for the Kingdom of God. You were called to stand firm and be a person of great faith who can provide hope for others even in the midst of a hard season. Stay strong and be one that triumphs over fear instead of being paralyzed by it!
