Time Spent with God and Holy Spirit

Recently, I was sitting in my living room having quiet time with the Lord. Meditating on His Word, reflecting, and sharing as I listened to what He longed to share with me.

He led me to a familiar passage of Scripture I have read many times over the years and have heard used in many churches I have attended. I am sure you will also be familiar with it. It is found in John 1:14

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Now how many times have you read that verse? And what do you see “in” that verse? 

Well, we know that “The Word” is “JESUS,” right?! But do you see anything deeper here?

If The Word is JESUS, then it would stand to reason that every time you hold your Bible, you are actually holding Him, right?! 

And if The Word is JESUS, then it would stand to reason that every time you read your Bible, you are reading Him, Jesus!!!! Right?! 

Are you seeing this, beloved? I don’t know what kind of impact this is having on you, but it literally took my breath away! I became as a small child seeing this! Why have I never heard this preached? It is a sacred way of seeing the Scriptures! It is a sacred way of treasuring in such a magnificent way this unbelievable GIFT we have been given and hold in our hands each day! 

Just the fact that we are allowed such treasure as a Bible is unmeasurable!!!

I don’t know about you, but I’m thankful for what Holy Spirit reveals in our time spent together. And when I feel as a child, it’s even more precious! 

So if you want to encourage someone to read their Bible today, why not share this golden nugget with them? It may help them to see reading their Bible in a brand new way!!!
