The Sealing of the Holy Spirit!

On May 31, while I was in a discussion and praying over a dear sister in Christ, the Lord had me declare over her that she was sealed by the Holy Spirit. While I have heard this phrase many times over the years, it seemed to take on a new meaning right then.

“[He has also appropriated and acknowledged us as His by] PUTTING HIS SEAL UPON US AND GIVING US HIS [HOLY] SPIRIT in our hearts as the security deposit and guarantee [of the fulfillment of His promise].” 2 Corinthians 1:22

The Lord gave me an impression of not just being stamped, like how many have interpreted this to mean in the past but to be sealed, like being coated or covered over, much like what people do to New Flooring after they’ve laid it down.

To be sealed to the place where the cracks, fractures, or fragile places in it are reinforced and covered by an invisible barrier used to repel anything that would try to harm it.

As I released this Word to her, He spoke that the Angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him and He delivers them. (Psalms 34:7)

The other meaning of “sealed” is to “BE HIDDEN FROM VIEW,” like in a sealed envelope. Immediately the scripture Colossians 3:3 came to mind. You have died and your life is hidden in Christ, in God.

The Holy Spirit is here to do much more than just impart revelation and bring you into relationship with Jesus. He’s here to cover your life, seal you up, protect you, and Hide you from the evil one. He has been sent to give you an abundant life in Christ Jesus, not to take your life away from you.

Isn’t it time that we permitted Him to take control? To relinquish our rights to what we think will fulfill us so that He can truly complete us? It’s time we stopped focusing on what we think we’re going to lose if we serve the Lord Jesus Christ and focus on that which we will obtain instead.

If you’ve tried to find fulfillment in your life without Him and you’ve walked away disappointed, Jesus is your answer! You’ll never find true fulfillment in your life until He’s in It! Come forth and Be Sealed! Not just so that you’re Saved but so that the Transformation of your Life can Begin!!
