The Lord’s Return

It is imperative that we remain in constant readiness for it.

Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming. Matthew 24:42 (NASB1995)

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

As Christians, we live in a state of anticipation and readiness for the expected future return of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to collect His loved ones. It is one of the great mysteries of our faith as to exactly when this will happen, but it is imperative that we remain in constant readiness for it.

Sadly, we live in a world that does not believe in God and Jesus Christ, His Son. Many people demote God to the realms of fantasy and Jesus to, at best, a mere historical figure. But even the statistics of Biblical prophecy tell us that they are very real and that soon Jesus will return (not one prophecy regarding Jesus has not been missed except His return!). His return will be akin to the days of the great flood, when many mocked Noah, until the water started to rise. There will be much weeping amongst unbelievers when Jesus returns.

Dear Reader, Are you ready for Christ’s return? It could be today! Be ready to meet Him, my friend, and share the Good News that some unbelievers may be saved in time for that day. Be sure that you know Jesus personally, as your Lord and Saviour, that He will recognise you as His when He returns to carry us home to Heaven.
