The Choice

We must be mindful not to manipulate people into “believing.”

Posted on

We must remember that Jesus Christ is a choice.

He set it up this way.

Him.

He did.

The Creator of all that is, and was, and will ever be.

He extends His mighty right hand as a choice.

The best choice.

The beautiful choice.

The eternal choice.

His choice.

We only have the opportunity to choose Him because He first chose us.

Yet still, He allows it to be our choice.

We can’t bully people into belief.

People have the right to choose atheism.

People have the right to choose New Age.

People have the right to choose Buddhism.

In His great love, He gave mankind the ability to choose whatever they want.

How great is that love?

How great was His sacrifice?

He sent His Son to die, so we could have a choice.

Yahweh – THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE – He gave mankind the choice.

We have no right to try to manipulate how God sets things in place.

We offer TRUTH.

We offer PROOF.

We preach the gospel with our last breath.

We take the message to all ends of the earth.

Yet it still remains their choice.

We must be mindful not to manipulate people into “believing.” This is why we see so many false converts. This is why we see so many falling away.

They didn’t truly encounter Christ.

They encountered us.

They may have encountered my feelings.

They might be running from hell.

They might want a temporary fix for their emotions.

They might want a new group of friends.

They might be looking for a “decent” husband or wife.

But they didn’t encounter CHRIST.

When one truly encounters CHRIST, they’re forever changed.

We should be contending for TRUE ENCOUNTERS.

People don’t need my convictions.

People don’t need my emotions.

People don’t need my morals or ethics.

People need Christ!

He will change them.

We can’t.

All of mankind is given the right to choose which God they will serve. If God didn’t want choice, He would have created the human mind to always choose Him.

But He did not.

He wants us to choose Him.

We must not rob someone of a true encounter with Christ because we’ve attempted to manufacture one.

We can’t manufacture the glory.

That’s evident by the decline in church attendance.

We’ve tried to create God’s glory instead of contending for it.

An absence of choice is an absence of love.

The absence of God’s glory is just another emotional experience.

LET US CONTEND FOR THE GLORY OF GOD.

LET US BE A LIVING EXAMPLE OF CHRIST!
