Starting Well

As our Father, He loves to hear our praises.

O LORD, You are my God;
I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name;
For You have worked wonders,
Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness.
Isaiah 25:1 (NASB)

My verse this Monday morning was on my mind before I went to bed last night; it struck me as an amazingly positive proclamation by the prophet to the people of Israel in tough times. In these words we have the bold decision to “exalt” the Almighty, regardless of circumstances; to lift up/promote God.

God of the universe does not need our exaltation, but as our Father, He loves to hear our praises. Praising God is a choice we make; it pleases Him and connects us more closely to Him. The decision to praise God privately each morning, and before those we meet sets our spiritual boundaries for the week ahead.

Dear Reader, let us start the week well, regardless of what has happened. Put a holy foundation down for the week by exalting Almighty God – your Father who loves and provides for you.
