Speaking Face to Face

God has an open-door policy with you and is available around the clock and around the world when you travel.

So the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he would return to the camp, but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle. Exodus 33:11

With technology, it has become easy for people to speak to each other from around the world day or night. Talking by phone is a good way to talk, but speaking in person, face to face, is much better. One can see the expressions on the face while one is talking and understand each other much better.

Moses would go into the tabernacle where God would meet with him and talk with him face to face. Joshua would also go and remain in the tabernacle.

It is common for people to talk with friends by text messaging. Speaking that way is short, quick, and easy. Over time,e it has become more difficult for people to communicate in person. They fear or don’t understand how to talk outside of text. They are also double-focused on more than one thing, rather than talking directly to a person.

In this same way, many people do not want to talk to God directly. They will go to others about their needs rather than to God.

When Jesus died on the cross, God tore down the veil that separated Him from everyone but the high priest. He opened the way for people to come directly to Him and talk to Him face to face.

Rather than having to wait on someone else to go in and talk to God, believers can now go to Him directly. God is waiting for the believer to meet with Him and talk with Him. He has also made the believer’s life His temple, where He dwells so one can talk to Him face to face.

There are people who you like to talk to in person. With those people you can talk about all types of things. However, those people are not always available around the clock to talk. God is ready to listen to what you have to say and talk with you. He has an open-door policy with you and is available around the clock and around the world when you travel. Take time each day to sit down and talk with God face to face. Let Him know what you are thinking and also hear what He is thinking.

Today, I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know that God wants to communicate with you; that you will take time to talk and listen to God; and that you will know God’s presence each day.
