Redemption For Everyone

His death on the cross was not just for a select small group of people.

And they sang a new song, saying: You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, Revelation 5:9

Emergency service personnel will often put their lives on the line for some of the people that they go in to rescue. As much as some want to help others out, there are only a few that they can directly help. They are unable to reach completely around their own community to help everyone in need, much less the people around the world.

John has a vision in heaven of people and creatures singing praise to Jesus in that He was worthy to open the seals because He had been slain so that He could redeem people from all over the world by His blood.

People love to redeem coupons in order to get a little money off of the price of something that they want to purchase. Turning in those coupons is what saves them some money. Although the coupons can work for some, they are not for everyone. No business has a coupon that is good for around the entire world to help everyone.

God had provided a coupon in Jesus Christ for everyone around the world. Jesus was beaten and crucified on the cross, dying on the cross to shed His blood so that people could have their sins removed so that they could live. He bought back their lives.

His death on the cross was not just for a select small group of people. It was not just for the Israelites at the time of His death. The redemption Jesus provided for was for every person who chooses to believe in Him from all over the world. His blood was shed for every person.

You will see businesses around you provide ways to redeem some of the money you spend. In the same way, God is wanting to redeem your life. Jesus paid for your sins upon the cross nearly two thousand years ago. No matter where you live, your social status, or what you have done, that redemption is made available for you. You can have the life that Jesus paid the price for you to have.

Choose today to accept what Jesus has offered you and share it with everyone else.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know what Jesus did for you on the cross; that you will share with others what Jesus did for them; and that you will give God praise for what He did through Jesus.
