And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand. Revelation 8:4
Requests are commonly made to those in higher-level leadership. The methods can be very different in how those requests are delivered. They can be made in person, by phone, by email, by text, by written note, through another person, or some other method. The expectation that the request will be heard and dealt with must be there for the request to be made. People will do this with others and don’t think that it is unusual or a waste of time.
John records that the angels were burning incense that was filled with the prayers of the saints. The incense and prayers went up before God.
In seeking help, people will usually go to others or the government for what is needed. Requests for help fill the inboxes of many organizations that the government has put in place. Usually, there are many more requests than are possible to ever be able to be dealt with in a proper manner. As a result, many people feel that their requests are ignored or a waste of time.
Throughout the Bible, people are urged to pray to God. While many will pray they feel that all their prayers are doing is going up, hitting the ceiling, and bouncing back down to them. They feel they are wasting their time.
Although they may feel that way, their requests are to be brought before God with faith that He will hear and answer them. Every prayer is caught up by the angels and brought before God. He hears those prayers and is ready and willing to answer them.
As He hears them, God will reach down into the earth and lives of the people and make changes. His hand will strike against the works of the enemy.
You have many needs that only God can answer. In faith, you must be willing to bring those needs before God in prayer knowing that He will hear them and answer them according to His will. Do not give up when a prayer is not answered immediately, God still hears it and will deal with it. Your prayers are going up like incense before God and He will send His answer back down to the earth, making changes that only He can do.
Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will spend time in prayer to God; that you will know God hears your prayers; and that you will see God answer your prayers
