FATHER GOD,

I pray this prayer for my spouse and me. I pray that we will clearly hear the call You have on our lives. Help us to realize who we are in Christ and give us certainty that we were created for a high purpose.

May the eyes of our understanding be enlightened so that we will know what is the hope of Your calling Lord, when You call us, You also enable us. Enable us to walk worthy of our calling and become the man and woman of God You created us to be.

Strike down discouragement so that it will not defeat us. Lift our eyes above the circumstances of the moment, so we can see the purpose for which You created us. Give us patience to wait for Your perfect timing.

I pray that the desires of our hearts will not be in conflict with Your desires. May we seek Your direction and hear when Your Spirit speaks to our spirits. I pray that we will not be broken down by the power of evil but raised up by the power of God.

Establish a wall of protection around us. Fill us with Your Spirit and flush out all that is not of You. Deliver us from anything that binds us. May we never be controlled by depression, anger, anxiety, fear, hopelessness, or suicidal thoughts.

Release us from unrest, inner turmoil, strife, and pressure. May we not be broken in spirit but enjoy the continual feast of a merry heart.

Give us the gift of laughter and let peace be our constant companion.

Teach us to take our eyes off of our circumstances and to trust in You, regardless of how we feel. I pray that You would protect us from any accidents, diseases, dangers, or evil influences. Be our Fortress, Shield, and Stronghold.

Make us to dwell in the Shadow of Your Wings. Be our Rock, Salvation, and Defense, so that we will not be moved or shaken. Make every part of our bodies to function the way that You designed it to.

Wherever there is anything out of balance, set it perfect with Your Hands. Heal us of any disease, illness, injury, or weakness. When we sleep may we wake up completely rested, rejuvenated, and refreshed. Give us a strong heart that does not fail.

Lord, teach us to put You first and our marriage ahead of things pressing in on our lives. Show us how to build one another up instead of competing. Let us willingly be inconvenienced for the other’s needs and quick to go the second mile, and then the third.

I pray for Your protection over our minds. By the authority given to me in Christ Jesus, I command all lying and deceiving spirits away from our minds. I pray that You will perfect us in Your Love so that tormenting fear finds no place in us.

May Your Word penetrate every fiber of our being, convincing us that Your Love for us is far greater than anything we face and nothing can separate us from it.

I pray for open physical affection between us. Enable us to be warm, loving, attentive, affectionate, compassionate, and adoring. May Your Spirit of Love, reign in the words we speak so that we don’t wound one another.

I pray that You will be Lord over our work and may we bring You into every aspect of it. Open doors of opportunity that no man can shut. Show us Your Ways O Lord, teach us Your paths. Lead us in Your Truth.

Cause us to be a praising people not afraid to lift up Your Name among men. Give us a heart that longs to do Your will and may we enjoy the peace that can only come from living in total obedience to Your Word.

Help us to understand our worth through Your eyes and by Your Standards. Give us the peace and security of knowing that we are accepted by You. Not rejected by You.

Bring us face to face with You. Help us to see who You really are so we’ll see who we really are. May we seek You, rely on You, put You first, and acknowledge You in everything we do.

I lay all my expectations at Your Cross today. The expectations I have for my spouse who may not be able to fulfill them. And the expectations I have for myself, trusting in You as the Source for fulfilling all of our needs and desires, whether in spirit, soul, or body.

I pray that we will serve You all the days of our lives. I ask Lord, that You would bless us and keep us, that You would make Your face shine upon us and be gracious to us, that You would lift up Your countenance upon us, and give us peace.

In Jesus’ Holy Anointed Name, I pray. I thank You in advance for the victory. Amen. So be it.

Love prayer adapted from 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Because of God’s Love in us, our love endures long and is patient and kind. Our love is never envious nor does it boil over with jealousy.

Our love is not boastful or vainglorious, and our love does not display itself haughtily. Because of God’s Love in us we are not conceited, arrogant, or inflated with pride, we are not rude or unmannerly and we do not act unbecomingly.

Because of God’s Love in us, we do not insist on our own rights or our own way, we are not self-seeking, and we are not touchy or fretful or resentful.

We take no account of the evil done to us and pay no attention to a suffered wrong. We do not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but we rejoice when right and truth prevail.

Because of God’s Love in us, we bear up under anything and everything that comes, we are ready to believe the best of every person.

Our hopes are fadeless under all circumstances and we endure everything without weakening.

Because of God’s Love in us, our love never fails, never fades out, or becomes obsolete. It never comes to an end.

Because of God’s Love in us, our marriage is a bright and shining example for others to see the Love of Christ in us.

I declare and decree this prayer over our marriage today that it may be established according to Job 22:28. I thank You Father God for watching over Your Word to perform it on our behalf and for hearing and answering my prayers.

I thank You Father God that You have already promised us the victory in 1 Corinthians 15:57 and 2 Corinthians 2:14 so I can rest in the Faithfulness of Your Sure and Steadfast Word and Promises for my husband and I. I give You all the Praise, Honor, and Glory for bringing it to pass, in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen. So be it!
