Not Stopping

Instead of stopping, believers are to continue talking about Jesus everywhere they go.

And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ. Acts 5:42

Starting something new is easy for many people. Keeping going at something new is a completely different story. When something different is started there will always be some obstacles or trouble that get in the way, causing discouragement and for many to give up and stop moving forward. They will choose a different path to go down, rather than the one filled with challenges, especially ones that are physically dangerous and life-threatening.

Luke records in Acts that the Pharisees and leaders of a city rose up against Peter and the apostles for preaching the gospel message. After being released from prison, the apostles continued to teach and preach daily about Jesus being the Christ.

The world does not like to hear anything about truth or about Jesus. It goes against the belief that mankind is in absolute control and can do whatever one wants with no consequences. As a result, rules are made against believers. In some nations, the persecution against believers is often life-threatening. In others, it is just a loss of position or job and ridicule and threats of jail time.

There are believers in the church who choose to be quiet because of the rules against their speaking the Truth. Fear of authorities and people rise up, rather than the fear of God and trusting God for their lives.

Instead of stopping, believers are to continue talking about Jesus everywhere they go. The world needs to hear the truth about Jesus. If the world does not hear about Jesus, there is no way that they can choose to believe in Him.

Every individual believer needs to make the choice to speak the truth and never stop speaking the truth about Jesus as the Christ, the Messiah.

As you go through your days, you have the opportunity to talk about many different things. You have a choice as to what you will talk to others about. One thing you need to talk about is Jesus, about who He is to you, and what He has done for you. There are people out there that need to hear that message. Do not be concerned about rules against talking about Him, this is a matter of eternal life or death for others. Don’t stop talking about Jesus when the world rises up against you.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will be bold in talking about Jesus; that you will share who Jesus is with all you meet; and that God will protect you from the attacks of the enemy as you speak His truth.
