The word I have today is fun, positive, and exciting! Like many other churches, we take the beginning of the year to fast and seek the Lord diligently, and we have already seen massive breakthroughs personally, in ministry, and in business. One day in prayer, the Lord spoke to me and said, “There’s more to come”. I don’t know about you guys, but for me, those are the words I love to hear. I was looking back at all God has already done in the month of January, and I was so thankful, but he is saying, “There is still more to come.”
The Lord has done more for me in half of January of 2025 than in some complete years of my life, but the Lord reminded me of something. He told me, “Remember your word for the year, Build It. Remember your wife’s word for the year, Overflow. What did you think would happen?” In the midst of all these incredible increases and breakthroughs, the Lord keeps saying that there is more for those who are diligently obeying and pursuing everything that he has called them to for this year.
1 John 5:14-15 says, “And this is the confidence we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.” Friends, this gives me hope and confidence, and it strengthens my soul knowing that we have access to anything according to his will.
In Matthew 6:33, it talks about seeking the kingdom of God first, and all will be added unto us. Every need, desire, hardship, and situation happening in your life, God knows about it, and he cares about it, but what does the scripture say? If we seek him and his kingdom first, he will take care of everything else because he is a good God who loves and wants the best for us. In this season, God needs us to be laser-focused on him and his will. Why? Because there is more, and he wants to give us the keys to unlock the breakthrough coming in this season.
I can’t tell you how many times I have had a prayer list of the things I needed, or people in my circle of friends needed, and the Lord told me to put the list down and go into the sanctuary and pray. When I would go into the sanctuary, I would begin to walk around praying in the holy spirit, and when I would return to my office, the needs that I had written down had been met. This is Matthew 6:33 in action, by seeking the Lord first, everything was added unto me.
Philippians 4:19 says, “And God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” If we could understand and grasp kingdom finances, we would never lack in any area of business, ministry, or personally. Religious culture sees finances as a worldly evil, but money is actually a tool that when placed in the hands of the righteous, can produce something remarkable and powerful for the kingdom of God.
1 Corinthians 2:9 says, “But, as it is written, What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him.” If you were to tell me ten years ago all the things I am doing now, I never would have believed you, but God was saying even back then, “There is more to come” just like in this very season we are in “There is more to come”
