I asked Abba, “Father, what is my ministry for Kingdom Come Home? What would You have me speak about in this group?”
His response…
“REMEMBRANCE”
I sat with that for a minute, then I asked Him to tell me more.
He said…
“Your ministry is to ensure My Children remember who they are. Remind them, so they don’t forget to Whom they belong.”
I was overtaken with emotion because that’s so beautiful…and so weighty.
It requires me to remember as well.
When we accept the gift of salvation, we are all tasked with the same ministry. That is the ministry of reconciliation. That is what Jesus asked us to do.
That’s what He came to do.
However, Abba also gives each of us our own unique ministry for those who are already saved.
It is personal, special, and unique.
A message for His Body, handpicked by The Father.
Mine is REMEMBRANCE.
So this is your daily reminder….
YOU. ARE. LOVED.
John 3:16
This scripture speaks of the gravity of God’s love so clearly: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son….
He gave us such a gift.
He gave us HIS ONE SON.
HIS ONLY SON.
So WE too can become sons of God!
How?
Here….
That whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.”
Forever.
And ever.
Amen.
What a love to leave a heavenly and eternal throne to come to earth.
Earth, where our sin has caused such brokenness and decay.
Where pain is deep and real.
Earth, where as humans, our pride has caused death, destruction, oppression, fear, and injustice.
He came for a wicked and perverse people and poured himself out unto death.
It was the only way to save us.
To save you.
To save me.
Did he do it just for the good people?
The people who had it all together?
The people that “deserved” His grace?
No.
There wasn’t one that deserved His grace.
And yet He came for us anyway.
Romans 5:8 says, “But God showed His own love toward us in this: that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
While we were still sinners.
EVIL
WICKED
REBELLIOUS
LAWLESS
God hates the behavior, but His love for His creation is NEVER ENDING.
I was.
But I’m not those things anymore!
He sent His Son so we can return to His image and likeness.
So we can return to our original design.
So we can become who He says that we are.
WE ARE THE CHILDREN OF GOD!
Glory, glory, glory to God.
My ministry to you is REMEMBRANCE.
