For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries. 1 Corinthians 16:9
Starting something new and great will always come with people being against it. They cannot see the same vision and value of what needs to be done, or they are just plain against it. Many feel that the one with the vision is crazy and should never attempt to do what is desired. Those who can persevere through the negativity are the ones who accomplish great tasks and innovations. They push through the challenges to go through the open door.
As Paul closes out this letter to the Corinthians, he tells them that he will stay in Ephesus because an effective door has opened up for him, despite many adversaries against him.
The world understands challenges that need to be pushed through in order to accomplish a difficult task. It is also clearly understood how there will always be some people who are against a task, whether good or bad.
As the world pushes through ideas, they feel are good, the world will also push back against ideas that promote God’s kingdom.
God will open doors for believers to reach the lost and build His kingdom in many different ways. Divine connections will occur, giving people an opportunity to believe in Jesus. From the moment God gives this vision, the world will be out to stop the believer from accomplishing that task.
Rather than give up, believers need to push through. God is always bigger than the enemy and will always make a way. He wants His kingdom to grow, even more than the world wants to stop it. Believers need to be willing to continue to step out in faith and do the work God has called them to do, regardless of how many adversaries there are against them.
Doors of life are always going to be opening and closing for you. Each time God opens a door up for you to be His witness, you must be willing to walk through it. As you begin to walk through that door, the world will do what it can to stop you. Part of that world may even be your own personal thoughts. Do not give in to the adversaries and enemies of God’s word. Keep moving forward with what God has called you to do. Be the witness God wants you to be.
Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will see the open doors God has before you; that God will give you strength to go through the open doors; that God will protect you from those against Him; and that God will build His kingdom through you.
