Learning to Shift the Atmosphere First

Anyone who’s ever been in a Walmart store knows how oppressive the atmosphere usually is in that place. With 25 years of experience in there and seeing just about every conceivable thing that the public has to offer, I will say if you can shift the atmosphere in a Walmart store, you can shift the atmosphere anywhere!

 

You might ask why the atmosphere is so important to shift. Let me put it in other terms for you:

 

Atmospheres are often under the control of a demonic oversight. There will be a primary spirit that will try to control an atmosphere, so if we have any intention of doing something for the Lord in that atmosphere, we must bind up that force, which leaves us with an open heaven in its place.

 

During a trip to Texas, I was confronted with one of these types of situations at a service where I was speaking. A person walked into the room packing some unfriendlies, and they attempted to control the atmosphere of the meeting.

Everyone else in the room was aware of it as well. When I saw it, the Holy Spirit had me rebuke it quietly and out loud, but not loud enough for anyone else to hear it. As I did, the atmosphere in the room shifted back as if that influence wasn’t present at all. And while it tried every trick in the book that it could, it was unable to have any effect upon the atmosphere.

 

Too many times, we are trying to operate in areas of influence when we haven’t yet influenced a change in the atmosphere first. We try and attempt to do whatever we felt led to do, but it doesn’t seem to go anywhere. We must first deal with the strongman atmosphere if we are to have the effect we are looking for in the situation.

 

 

We have been given the authority over all the authority of the enemy; every area where he has taken up residency is our area of influence. God is sending us forth in this hour with not just authority to change the atmospheres, but with the Wisdom in how to do it so that we can alter the lives of those who are bound by that strongman.

 

Once the atmosphere is shifted and that spirit is bound up, it leaves the situation wide open for the Holy Spirit to influence those who are currently in that atmosphere. It’s time we took our place as Sons and Daughters, not in arrogance or self righteousness, but through humility reflecting the Love of the Savior Who bought them.

 

Don’t live under oppressive atmospheric conditions anymore; shift them with the authority Jesus gave you and watch how those around you respond to you as a result.
