If we as believers in Jesus Christ want to know who we really are, and what God’s Destiny is for each of us, then we need to know the Power That is Constantly OUTFLOWING FROM HIS RESURRECTION!
“[For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him, and that I may in that same way COME TO KNOW THE POWER OUTFLOWING FROM HIS RESURRECTION, and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death, [in the hope]” Philippians 3:10
When I first read this passage above, I used to think that knowing the Power mentioned here, (that Paul was describing), was just having an understanding of the Resurrection itself, what I didn’t understand at the time though, was that this Resurrection Power wasn’t just an event that took place, but rather it was A Person Who was Carrying The Power of Resurrection Life In Himself!
“And if the SPIRIT OF HIM WHO RAISED UP JESUS FROM THE DEAD DWELLS IN YOU, [then] He Who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also restore to life your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies through His Spirit Who dwells in you.” Romans 8:11
It was only after I read this verse out of Romans 8, that I realized that the POWER OUTFLOWING FROM HIS RESURRECTION, wasn’t just a powerful force, but HE IS A POWERFUL PERSON NAMED THE HOLY SPIRIT!
Paul knew Jesus Christ personally, (because of his relationship with Him), but Paul also expressed a deep interest and desire to know that Powerful Holy Spirit that Jesus Christ had left behind Him, as a Replacement for Him upon the earth!
It was this Person in the form of the Holy Spirit Who is the POWER OUTFLOWING FROM JESUS’S RESURRECTION, Who testifies of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and will speak whatever He hears from the Father to each of us who has an ear to hear what He is saying to the church. (John 16:13, Revelation2:7)
While many of us are endeavoring to get to know Jesus Christ in a deeper way, only a few have realized the importance of knowing the Holy Spirit that Jesus Christ sent to each one of us and becoming more acquainted with Him.
“But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears, and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future]. HE WILL HONOR AND GLORIFY ME, BECAUSE HE WILL TAKE OF (receive, draw upon) WHAT IS MINE AND WILL REVEAL (declare, disclose, transmit) IT TO YOU.” John 16:13-14
The Holy Spirit is the most Powerful Person in all of creation because He doesn’t just reveal Jesus Christ to us, but He gives us Life and Abilities that we don’t have in and of ourselves!
“IT IS THE SPIRIT WHO GIVES LIFE [He is the Life-giver]; the flesh conveys no benefit whatever [there is no profit in it]. The words (truths) that I have been speaking to you are spirit and life.” John 6:63
We (as Believers in Jesus) need to get to know the Holy Spirit by Whom we’ve been Sealed for the day of Redemption so that He can not only indwell our lives but come upon us with His Supernatural Power!
It is only through this Powerful Resurrection Personality that we will be able to see this world transformed by the Power of God! If you’ve never asked the Holy Spirit to reveal Himself or Jesus Christ to you, there’s no better day than today to Encounter Him!
Come Holy Spirit and reveal Yourself to everyone who reads this and Reveal the Truth (only found in Jesus Christ) to each Son or Daughter of God who is desperately searching for it, in the Mighty Name of Jesus! Amen!!
