Keep Doing Good

It is difficult when one is going through pain and suffering in order to move forward.

Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator. 1 Peter 4:19

Difficulties and challenges face nearly everyone on a fairly regular basis. The level of hard times may ebb and flow a little, but it is still there. Dealing with the hard times is difficult. Quitting what one is doing tends to be the easiest way to deal with the suffering that comes with hard times. Backing out and doing something else always appears to be the better and safer route to take.

As Peter talks about suffering for Christ, he tells the people to commit their souls to God and keep doing good because He is faithful.

Choosing to keep moving forward is hard at times. It is difficult when one is going through pain and suffering in order to move forward. It becomes even more difficult when one is suffering because of doing good.

The world believes it is doing a favor in harming believers and trying to stop them from doing good. Hatred for believers is rising on a daily basis. Around the world, believers are being persecuted more and more.

With the rising persecution, believers have to make a choice. They have to choose whether they will continue to serve God or not, whether they will continue to do good or not.

Standing up for God and His holy principles will bring on the anger of the world. Many in the church have backed down and tried to escape the persecution. Instead of backing down, believers need to commit their souls to God. Trust God that He will save them if this world takes their life and keep doing the good He has called them to do in the face of persecution and suffering.

God has called you to do some good works in this world. The more you do for God, the more the world will come up against you and try to stop you. Persecution will rise and get worse as the days get closer to the return of Jesus. Do not give up or give in to the world. Keep your focus upon God and His promises. No matter what the world does to you, God will still be able to save your soul and bring you into His eternal glory.

Keep doing the good He has called you to do.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know the good God has called you to do; that God will give you strength to endure persecution; and that you will trust God’s promises to save your soul; and that you will commit your life into the hands of God.
