JEREMIAH 15:16
Your Words were found, and I ate them, and Your Words became for me joy and gladness in my heart, for I have been called by Your Name, O Yahweh God of Hosts.
Oh my Precious Lord, what TRUTH is found in the above verse of Scripture! Your Word has and is truly JOY that fills my heart to overflowing!
Each day that we journey together and You reveal more of Yourself to me through Your Word, I’m filled with such unspeakable joy.
This week as I was walking with You through the Word, especially in Ephesians chapter 1, one of the passages that so grabbed my heart, as You had me meditating on it was verses 3-4:
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He “chose us” in Him “before” the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love… (emphasis mine)
When you had me really meditate especially on verse 4, what you wanted me to realize was, “YOU CHOSE ME BEFORE YOU CHOSE ANYTHING ELSE!”
YOU CHOSE EACH OF US BEFORE YOU CHOSE ANYTHING ELSE!!! That’s how much You Love us! That’s how much You long to walk with us each day! That’s how much You long for intimacy!
Your thoughts were on me, on our life together at the very beginning of time. On our journey and how it would unfold. Each step that we would take together. Each Ebeneezer Stone that I would pick up along the way that I would use to make my altars of memorials unto You!
The lessons You would teach me each time we would sit face to face. At early morning’s light, as my heart reaches at first glance to meet with Yours, to begin the day’s journey, and the excitement of knowing that not only does new adventure await, but oh the treasures You have to bestow with each new lesson I’ll learn along our path today!!! The Joy that explodes in my heart!!
I treasure our journey together more than the very breath I breathe for You Alone are Worthy of All! Help me to never lose sight of my “first love,” You!
I long to dwell in Your Presence, at Your Feet, where You can teach me and mold me into Who You have called me to be. Remove all that is not of You and fill me with ALL that You have for me. I want all that You desire for me.
Thank You, Lord, for the joy of Your Spirit that causes me to rejoice in every circumstance knowing that with You, I can never fail, that Your blessings overtake my family and me, that You walk close by my side every day, that You are my best friend, and that You love me deeply always.
PSALM 46:5
God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.
How can I be sad when I know this? How can I be discouraged when I know victory is already mine?
JOHN 16:24
Until now you have asked nothing in My Name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
What a glorious promise You have given to us! You not only want us to Come and sit with You but You long for us to ask You for the things we need!
Not out of selfishness, and for us to not be timid, cowardly, or shy or fearful, but bold, because You long and desire for us to be filled with joy, but not just filled with joy but that our joy WOULD BE FULL!!!
The TRUTH and full reality of this verse is so humbling to me for it shows just how much You deeply love us! How You long for us to be filled every single day with joy, not the joy this world knows which is so fleeting, but Your Joy that is full, deep, and lasting!!!
PSALM 30:11
You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy.
I pause my journey with You today my Lord and King with this penned Psalm I’ve written for You:
I’LL DANCE FOR JOY
I’ll dance for joy
And praise Your Name
I’ll dance for You
Without any shame.
I’ll dance for joy
When days are bleak
I’ll dance for joy
When I am weak.
I’ll dance for joy
Because You are My King
I’ll dance for joy
For the Love You bring.
I’ll dance for joy
With all my heart
Abiding with You
We’re never apart.
I’ll dance for joy
To bring You pleasure
For You are My Love
My Truest Treasure.
I’ll dance for joy
All of my days
Thankful for Your Love
In so many ways.
I’ll dance for joy
To show You how much
I treasure Your Love
I treasure Your touch.
As I share today’s Journey beloved, when you are journeying through your day, pause for a moment and ask yourself if you’re walking in His Joy?
There is a difference between the joy of this fleeting world and the Joy of The Lord!
His Joy is constant! And will be full. One of the prayers I started praying years ago for myself as well as for family, friends, and loved ones is that Joy and Laughter would be my constant companions.
I know that may sound silly to some, but there is a verse that says, “You have not because you ask not.”
There is nothing too big or too small that we can ask our God. With the things I have faced and the battles I have faced in my own life, I believe that is a good prayer for myself.
I pray that today’s journey has touched your heart and filled you with the same Joy it has me. Our Father longs to bless you today and every day. I pray His blessings over you.
