Jezebel’s Authority Revoked

I recently had a very vivid prophetic dream that I believe carries a strategic warning for many believers in this season. In the dream, I was on a plane that had just landed. Everyone on the plane was getting ready to disembark. The stewardess came by and began handing out a device to everyone. She explained that the device was programmed specifically for each individual and it would help each of us to get to our connecting flight, assist with baggage claim, and do many other helpful things. She instructed us to give the device to the nearest worker when we were done with it and that person would assist us from there. 

As I got off of the plane and headed toward my next gate, I looked at all the directions and instructions on the device. Then when I came into the main terminal, I knew I had everything that I needed to know so I went over to the first person I saw who worked for the airline. She was standing behind a counter and I walked up to her and said, “I want to turn in my device.” She did not turn to look at me when I spoke but reached out her hand for me to put the device in it.

When I looked down at her hand I noticed that her ring finger was very short and was so small that the fingernail on that finger was almost all you could see. Alarmed by this, I looked up at her face again and saw that her features were demonic. I immediately stepped back and pulled the device back in toward me so she couldn’t take it. She looked as if she might reach for my device anyway so I said, “No, thank you. I do not need your assistance.” Then I turned and walked away toward my gate. That was the end of the dream.

As I have prayed over this dream, it has become clear that this was a warning dream for many in the body of Christ in this season. The Lord wants you to know that you can and will break free from all of Jezebel’s authority and influence that may have attempted to hinder where God is taking you. I believe that the woman behind the counter in my dream represented the spirit of Jezebel. I believe the device represents the guiding and leading of the Holy Spirit. The spirit of Jezebel wants to take your sense of direction so that it can confuse and manipulate you in order to keep you from getting where God has called you to go. 

I am a firm believer in the power of alignments and having the right voices in your life that can pour into and partner with you. However, I also believe that many people are so hungry to have a spiritual parent, mentor or leader that can help to guide them along the way that they could unknowingly forfeit the divine guidance of the Holy Spirit at work in their lives. However, it is more critical in this season than ever before to be discerning and prayerful about who you give authority to. 

In the dream, the woman who represented Jezebel had a missing ring finger. This is important because that signifies covenant. The Jezebel spirit wants to trick you into forfeiting your destiny and direction without being in covenant. A person God sends into your life to help lead and guide you will be in covenant with God and will want to commit to God’s purpose and plan for you. If you do not have peace and confidence about being in a relationship with a leader or mentor, do not give them any voice or authority over your life.

I want to encourage you, if you do not have a trusted spiritual parent or mentor in your life right now, listen to the leading of the Holy Spirit and stay on course. Allow the Lord to give you the instructions and wisdom you need to get where you are going. The Lord is always faithful to bring us everything that we need when we need it. That includes the right relationships and voices in our lives that will always move us forward into the plans He has for us.

I believe that this is a season where Jezebel’s authority is going to be revoked over your life! This is a season where you will step into a greater level of discernment and wisdom that will propel you into your God-given destiny like never before.
