And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.“ Esther 2:17
Did you know that God’s grace and God’s favor go hand in hand? His grace was not only there for you for your salvation but it has been deposited upon your life for all of your days. This grace also brings His favor— a favor that is wrapped around you as a shield.
Psalm 5:12 says,
For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield”
God fully intends for you to walk in His unending grace and favor— He deposited it
in you and wrapped it around you. All that you need to do is to receive it and begin to apply your faith to believe and walk in it.
If His favor surrounds you like a shield (Ps. 5:12) then you should spend every day knowing confidently that grace and favor are upon you and will bring blessings and fruitfulness upon your life. You will lack no good thing as you walk with it wrapped around you.
The Lord has given you favor so it is time to receive it. His favor is upon you to live a fruitful life, to walk in humility and honor, to be fruitful, to increase, to be delivered from strongholds of sin, and to see the supernatural power of God go before you in all that you do.
May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us — yes, establish the work of our hands.” Psalm 90:17
The work of your hands should not leave you in lack but establish favor and increase in your life. Many of God’s people need to cast off a spirit of slavery and a spirit of oppression that is causing them to live like they are slaves in Egypt under the rule of Pharaoh. This is not your portion in Christ! It is time to believe and receive what His Word has spoken and be delivered from the spiritual Egypt that you have been dwelling in.
You will not only walk In favor with God but in favor with men. Luke 2:52 says this,
And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.”
Did you know that you can grow in favor? Yes, you can grow in favor with God and man by growing in wisdom and walking in truth and honor. Honor who He created you to be and walk in it. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and wisdom brings forth an increase of favor. Isn’t it amazing that as you apply God’s truth to your life you will gain favor— it will grow and increase. Favor with God and man will open doors of opportunity and give you access to things that could not have been obtained in your own strength.
For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.” Psalm 84:11
God is with you to light your way in a world of darkness. He is with you to shield you from evil and to hide you in the shadow of His wing. His favor upon you causes honor to be bestowed to you. Why? Because you have chosen to walk in His ways.
Now God had caused the official to show favor and compassion to Daniel.” Daniel 1:9
God also causes people in authority or of influence to show you favor (and compassion). Just this week, I witnessed this firsthand with one of my adult sons. What began as an impossible situation is becoming a miraculous testimony! As my son faced this dilemma in faith and the fear of the Lord, he began witnessing unprecedented favor and grace come upon him and the situation that is before him. He is watching people in authority show him favor and compassion that is opening doors of breakthrough.
This is the posture that His children are to take when obstacles and challenges come before them. Ask for and believe (and receive) the favor and compassion needed with those in authority— with God and man.
Grace and favor are upon you! Favor can grow and increase upon your life as you grow in truth and faith. If you haven’t accepted the grace and favor (with God and man) then today is the day to say,
“I receive Your gift of grace and favor to rest upon my life, upon my steps, upon the work of my hands, and upon my family.”
Now walk in the knowledge of it and grow in it humbly and with a grateful heart.
