In a time of prayer recently, the Lord gave me a powerful vision. In the vision, I saw myself standing in the middle of a whirlwind. Everything was whirling around in chaos, clutter, and confusion. I became overwhelmed as suddenly everything was shaking. My mind began to race and I was tempted to give in to the complete chaos around me. But then the Lord spoke to me in the vision, and said, “Look down.”
So in the vision, I looked down at my feet and saw that I was standing on solid ground. Everything else was flying around me and shaking but my feet were on solid ground. As I realized in the vision that I was on solid ground, I sensed this unbelievable measure of the presence and peace of God come upon me. Then in the vision, when the whirlwind and shaking finally ceased, everything fell into place. Everything was in a different place than it was in the beginning but I knew everything was where it was meant to be, including myself. I understood in that moment what the Lord was saying through this vision.
Even when there is nothing but chaos, calamity, confusion, distraction, and destruction all around, because of my relationship with God I am always standing on a foundation and on solid ground. I believe the Lord gave me this vision, for not only myself but to encourage many believers in this season. It may seem as if everything around you is being shaken and caught up in the whirlwind but the Lord wants you to know that you can still stand firm on solid ground with Him.
When your life is built upon who God is and the truth of His word the rains can come and the winds can blow as hard as they want to but you will not fall or fail! The peace and presence of God are always stronger than the chaos surrounding you, you just have to keep standing!
God is looking for those in this season who will stand with Jesus Christ upon the prophetic words that God has asked them to stand on. If you will plant your feet on that solid rock then you will be victorious and the storms and fierce winds of chaos will not blow you away.
What many believers forget in the midst of difficult seasons, even seasons of intense shaking is that God completely has us. As sons and daughters of God, He is always with us in the midst of every storm and every trial. What many believers fail to learn is how to walk with the Lord in the midst of chaos. When the enemy surrounds you with chaos and disaster you must stand firm despite what your eyes may be seeing in the natural.
When I was a young boy, my friend and I would ride our horses far away from our homes into an open field. One time we rode very far away from home and it began to storm. The rain was so heavy that we couldn’t see more than a few feet in front of us. So we pulled our hats down and let the horses lead. They knew the way home and the storm could not stop them from getting us there.
This is how God is with us when we are in the midst of a trial, a storm, or even a chaotic whirlwind. He is unbothered by these things and can always lead us home, we just have to trust Him.
I believe in this season, many are facing or will face a whirlwind of opposition. I also believe that there is an intense shaking going on in the spirit. However, those who will keep their feet planted on the truth and their eyes fixed on the Lord will come out on the other side victorious and even blessed by this testing season.
I believe many in the body of Christ will find themselves right in the middle of a whirlwind just like I did in this vision the Lord gave to me. However, you must know that you are on solid ground with the Lord. Everything around you may be caught up, torn down, and even swept away but you will remain if you stay fixed upon the Lord.
God is your strong tower and if you will let Him He will always lead you through you. Just keep standing and keep trusting Him. So remember in this season, my friends, God is always faithful. Everything is about to fall into place and if you will stand firm on the promises of God and His power, you will find His presence and power in the midst of every storm!
