Hidden Sins Will Be Revealed

Sin may start off small and insignificant, but it will grow if not removed.

But if you do not do so, then take note, you have sinned against the Lord; and be sure your sin will find you out. Numbers 32:23

Doing things behind closed doors that are wrong occurs on a regular basis. People feel that if no one sees them, they are innocent and will not know what was done wrong.

The news is constantly filled with stories about people who did things in their past that have shown up. Often, with people who appeared to be good, but their dark past was revealed, causing them to be placed in jail.

The Gadites and Reubenites made an agreement to help fight the battles in return for keeping some land on one side of the Jordan River. Moses told them that if they failed to do this, it would be a sin, and the sin would find them out.

Sinning against God is something that is easy to do. It is even easier when done in private behind closed doors, where no one appears to be able to see or know about it.

Many believers will go to church on Sundays and appear to be good, solid Christian people, but are hiding a great sin in their lives at home or failing to fulfill a promise to God. While the world may not always know or see it, God does see the sin.

That sin may start off small and insignificant, but it will grow if not removed. After a time, that sin will be revealed for the world to know. God will hold each person accountable for all the sins committed and unfulf bb billed promises, unless one repents of those sins and turns away from them and fulfills all promises.

Rather than having sin revealed, one should repent and allow God to remove all sin.

Have you ever made a promise to God and then failed to fulfill it? Or do you have some sin in your life that you hold on to?

Repent of those sins and seek God’s strength to turn from any sin and fulfill any promise made. Do not hold on to them, thinking no one sees them. If not before then, when Jesus returns, those sins will be revealed and show your true heart before God and the world.

Live your whole life for God so that there will be nothing shameful to be revealed and held against you.

Today, I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that God will strengthen you to fulfill all of your promises; that you will repent before God of any sins; and that God will not have to reveal any secret sins in your life.
