Guiding Light

The Light of the World has come to give us new life and He sends the Holy Spirit as our guiding light.

We become new creations washed by holy blood

when we invite Jesus to take His place from up above

We become co-heirs and will reign with Jesus Christ

We’re adopted into His Family and will inherit eternal life

Our souls rejoice as we make His presence known

We’ll sing a new song as we make His heart our home

Jesus puts so much importance on the state of our souls

that He gave His precious life to cleanse and make us whole

The Light of the World has come to give us new life

and He sends the Holy Spirit as our guiding light

The Spirit is our Helper in so many incredible ways

He prays on our behalf when we don’t know what to pray

He guides and comforts; He’s the voice that speaks

He is our conscience and dwells within our being

The Holy Spirit is indeed a gift of genuine love

a seal of inheritance and a taste of what is to come

We are entrusted with the Gift of His presence

and given the honor and privilege to care for this Gift

Please, whatever you do, don’t sadden the Spirit He gives

Be a vessel who treasures Him by the way in which you live!

The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him.

Ephesians 1:14

About the Author

Debbie always had a desire to write a book, but didn’t have a clue as to what the content could be. Children’s books and short stories piqued her interest most. She had dabbled with writing family-oriented poems, off and on over the years, but became overwhelmed with a hunger to write about God and His love in her late fifties. She started seeing God everywhere she looked whether it was in a deck of cards, movie titles, nursery rhymes, popular sayings, flower petals, or a baseball game. She finally realized that prophecy was being fulfilled when one of her sons told her that her poetry glorified God and was meant to be shared. The Lord’s words from an encounter in 2011 immediately returned to her. She had found her own way to speak about God just like He told her she would. Debbie is sharing her poetry in hopes that it will nourish and strengthen souls for the Kingdom of God. She refers to her poetic style as floetry, as it is the move of the Holy Spirit flowing from her heart to another. Her desire to flood the prisons with her book is due to God’s belief in her, and in her belief that no one can cast the first stone, but that everyone can help someone who is in desperate need of a Savior.
