Many times I have heard Psalm 23 quoted as it is a very well-known Psalm. But as I was reviewing it the other day, the Lord began to download a new revelation out of this passage that I had never seen before.
We as believers tend to value our time on the mountaintop with the Lord more than our time walking through the valleys because usually, we equate our time in the valleys as times of pressure stress, and even death. While there is definite truth to some of those things it takes on a whole new meaning with this recent revelation.
When you plant your garden you wouldn’t plant your garden on the mountaintop where there is not much soil. You would plant your seed in the valley where the soil is fertile and deep.
As seed is planted in the valleys of our lives it begins to grow and take on life. But before the seed can grow it has to first undergo a death to itself so that it can become something else.
In much the same way we must go through a transformation process in the Valley but it isn’t to destroy us but to grow our seed into something else. As it grows, it multiplies itself 100 or 1000 times over again so that the natural elements in your life become Supernatural.
“Every time you plant seed, you sow something that does not come to life [germinating, springing up, and growing] unless it dies first. Nor is the seed you sow then the body which it is going to have [later], but it is a naked kernel, perhaps of wheat or some of the rest of the grains. But God gives to it the body that He plans and sees fit, and to each kind of seed a body of its own.” 1 Corinthians 15:36-38
“I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, Unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains [just one grain; it never becomes more but lives] by itself alone. But if it dies, it produces many others and yields a rich harvest.” John 12:24
This transformation process can often be painful but is also fruitful. You will find your seed will bear more fruit (from the Holy Spirit) in the Valley of the Shadow than it will ever bear planted upon the Mountain Top.
God is growing you up in the Valley and giving you seed on the mountaintop to plant in your Valley experiences Each time you go to the Top of the Mountain with God you come down covered with a New Radiance of His Glory upon your life.
Be ready to plant your seed in the Valley of the Shadow experiences of your life because that’s where you grow so that you can watch the Harvest of the Next Level of God’s Glory cover your life. Mature Fruit of the Spirit will always cause a greater Glory and Maturity from God to manifest in your life if we only submit to death to self in the Process.
