God’s Fire Will Fall On Your Sacrifice

I saw His fire fall upon their hungry hearts— their longing and weary souls.

As I was praying and worshipping recently I saw a vision of many believers who wanted to bring their hearts before Him as a pure sacrifice. Yet, from their human perspective their hearts looked like the sacrifice and altar that Elijah and set up and drenched with water (1 Kings 18:19–29).

I heard these people saying to themselves, “How can God’s fire ever fall upon my heart when it is such a drenched sacrifice?”

Yet, it is not the perfection or condition of the offering that the Lord is looking upon, but the longing of the heart to receive His holy fire and His love.

These people were crying out for mercy and grace amid their weakness and frailties. They were not perfect, the sacrifice of their hearts were not without blemish but they were placing their trust in the perfect and unblemished One, who gave Himself as the perfect offering for their souls.

Then I saw His fire fall upon their hungry hearts— their longing and weary souls. When His fire fell, their hearts began to burn for Him again (some for the first time). The fire began purifying them, igniting them with burning praise and bringing them back to first love. It was a fire they could not contain— unquenchable and uncontainable.

No one could boast about having received this fire, for each one knew that all they had to bring before them was their weakness, their blemished hearts and their desperation. But by grace— His fire fell.

Then I heard the Spirit say,

“Though the offering looked as through it was drenched in water— the longing for Me had actually drenched their offering in oil. They had bought oil, not with money or gifts but with grace. My fire upon their hearts will be an eternal flame— not a momentary experience.”

The fire that will come upon these lives will burn so bright that others will be ignited and the fire will spread from one home (life) to another— and still another…

No man will boast in this because each will know that it was by His grace, mercy and through HIS perfect sacrifice that fire fell upon them.

If you are hungry, if you are thirsty, if you are weak, if you are desperate and if all you have is a blemished offering— COME! Come and offer what you have to the One who is perfect because your offering is saturated in the oil of desire. It is as if the alabaster jar has been poured over your very heart and is laid at His feet.

His fire will fall on your sacrifice!
