God Fulfills His Word

Keep trusting in God and wait for Him to fulfill His word to you.

And the Lord visited Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did for Sarah as He had spoken. Genesis 21:1

Promises are made all the time by people, businesses, and governments. Hearing some of those promises, they are so far out there that is difficult to believe that they will be kept. Some of those promises are kept, while many are broken and given all types of excuses as to why they were not fulfilled. As a result, many people struggle to believe someone when they make a promise, they expect the promise to not be kept.

God had promised Abraham and Sarah that they would have a child in their old age. Sarah thought it was a joke, but God came to her and fulfilled His promise just as He had spoken.

It is easy to doubt someone who promises something that is nearly impossible to do. For the average person, it does not make any sense to believe what could not really possibly happen. Believing it would be a waste of time to go down the wrong path.

The world tries to claim that God does not keep His promises, thus is not real and not to be believed. Many have walked away from God and the church because of what they perceived as false promises.

God has made many promises to those who believe in Him. Promise to forgive and remove sin. Promise to always be there. Promise to provide for all needs. Promise to give peace. Promise to guide and lead, and many more.

When one looks back on history and even one’s own life, one can see how many promises God has already kept and fulfilled. If He has fulfilled His word this far, He will continue to do so and one can stand on it, even when it seems far-fetched and unbelievable.

Are there promises God has made that you sometimes doubt and have not seen fulfilled yet? Do not give up your hope. As long as you have breath, God still has time to fulfill His word. He is faithful and will fulfill every word to you in His time and His way. You may have to be nearly one hundred years old before you see it fulfilled, but it will occur. Keep trusting in God and wait for Him to fulfill His word to you.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know the promises of God that apply to you; that you will believe God’s word to you; that you will see God fulfill His word; and that you will trust God in every area of your life.
