Don’t Be A Victim; Be a Warrior

Your mind and your thoughts, belong to you and are the drive behind your direction toward freedom.

Left alone, this meme allows you to accept the pain and brokenness of a bumpy past as an excuse for unhealthy living. I encourage you to read on.

If these hard truths apply to you, there’s always a way forward to freedom from intrusive thoughts.

You may have been a captive then, but you don’t have to be now. Your mind, your thoughts, belong to you and are the drive behind your direction toward freedom. For some reason, society has parked in a lane marked victim, and looks outward for others to vindicate or just listen to them. However, others rally around for a short period, then it’s all forgotten.

Not everything needs to be a cause taken up by everyone; there only needs to be a path to healing taken up by you.

Be your own warrior who breaks free from something meant to harm you, silence your spirit, or intrude on what should be healthy, clear, and confident living. The basis of overwhelming stress, even when caused by actions of others, will always be our internal response and reactions. It all starts with our thoughts.

The peace that passes all understanding will be your comfort only when you first think upon, know, and trust the Lord- no matter what. Our victory is sealed. AND THIS TRUTH is more powerful than any part of a broken past.

Philippians 4:7-American Standard Version (ASV)

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

So, yes, many pieces of our childhood can harm our minds, but it doesn’t have to interrupt our future. Take time to accept, forgive, and heal. Let go because release makes room for growth.
