Do Not Tolerate

This is your season to blow past those traps and tricks the enemy has ensnared you in before.

I was recently in a time of prayer, interceding through some warfare and then the Lord spoke to me and said, “Tell people do not tolerate this any longer. Do not tolerate this any longer.” I immediately knew this was a timely word for the body of Christ in this season.

Several weeks ago, before I heard this word one of my intercessors said that she felt we had stepped into victory over some big warfare. Not just as individuals but even as a nation. She also said that even though the intense warfare had lifted she sensed that there were still hindering spirits that were trying to hold people back from the fullness of their breakthrough. A friend of mine compares these kinds of hindering spirits to chihuahua dogs. They are loud, annoying, and can incessantly bark but can really cause you no harm.

I believe that many have encountered a number of things being hindered in the past several weeks. You may feel as if you’ve hit roadblock after roadblock even though you have sensed a measure of breakthrough. The enemy has stirred up slander, accusations, and other distractions in order to try to hinder you from moving forward in this season. I want to encourage you with this word today. Do not tolerate one more thing from the enemy that has unleashed in order to hinder you. The word of the Lord for this season is do not tolerate, do not tolerate any longer! One of the things that the enemy does is he will come after you when you are trying to move forward in your prophetic assignment. However, by the power of the Holy Spirit, you will advance and the enemy will not be able to stop what God is about to do in and through your life. Continue to stand in authority, make declarations and decrees, cleanse your atmosphere, and refuse to tolerate a single thing from the enemy any longer.

2 Timothy 4:1-2 says, “Timothy, in the presence of our great God and our Lord Jesus Christ, the One who is destined to judge both the living and the dead by the revelation of his kingdom—I solemnly instruct you to proclaim the Word of God and stand upon it no matter what! Rise to the occasion and preach when it is convenient and when it is not. Preach in the full expression of the Holy Spirit —with wisdom and patience as you instruct and teach the people.” In these scriptures the apostle Paul urged his spiritual son, Timothy to proclaim the word of God and stand no matter what. This is a powerful truth we need to apply in this season. Now is the time to stand upon the written word of God and the prophetic words He has spoken over your life with a tenacity and steadfast faith like never before.

1 Peter 5:8 “Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” This is exactly what we must do in this season. The enemy wants to take out anyone he can. Do you know how lions take down their prey? They look for the weakest or isolated among the herd and take them out. As their prey takes off running from them they will single out the immature, weak, or simply one that turns astray and picks them off. It is much harder for the enemy to come against you when you are surrounded by friends, intercessors, mentors, and prophetic voices. Who you run with matters because you need community in times of attack. You cannot defeat or outrun the enemy on your own. So be diligent to surround yourself with friends who will pray and stand with you no matter what.

1 Peter 5:9-10 goes on to say, “Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast.” God desires for each one of us to remain strong, firm, and steadfast as we follow after Him. It is important to remind ourselves in seasons of trial, testing, and spiritual warfare that when we resist the enemy he must flee. And every single person that belongs to God encounters difficulty and suffering. It comes with the territory. However, this is no excuse for not fulfilling the call of God on your life. You are being made perfect through the testing and tribulation you face and if you will stay in there with God He will bring you out on the other side victorious every single time.

Ephesians 4:27 says, “Don’t give the slanderous accuser, the Devil, an opportunity to manipulate you!” The enemy wants to back you into a corner and make you believe there is no way out. Do not give him an opportunity to come against you. Do not tolerate it! This is your season to press through in perseverance and stand firm in faith. This is your season to blow past those traps and tricks the enemy has ensnared you in before. The enemy wants to see you taken out before you can fulfill the call of God on your life and before you have stepped into your promise. However, God is with you! James 4:7 says, “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” This is your assignment for this season. Do not tolerate the enemy and what God can and will do in and through your life!
