Dealing With Your Fallow Ground

It’s time to plow up those areas of your life that you’ve left dormant and desolate!

The Holy Spirit is always dealing with the issues in our personal lives every single day. He starts working on each of us the moment that we are saved and continues that work every day after that.

“And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that HE WHO BEGAN A GOOD WORK IN YOU WILL CONTINUE UNTIL THE DAY OF JESUS CHRIST and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.” Philippians 1:6

That good work that He’s doing in you, is working in the field of your personal life (1 Corinthians 3:9) so that we can produce a harvest of the Fruit of The Holy Spirit on the inside of each of us individually.

In order for that to happen, we must give the Lord those areas of our lives that have been lying fallow and unproductive. The Word “fallow” means “land which is unproductive, hard and unbroken”. In one definition it could be referred to as “concrete”.

“Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; BREAK UP YOUR FALLOW GROUND: FOR IT IS TIME TO SEEK THE LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.” Hosea 10:12

As we chose to relinquish new areas of our personal lives over to Jesus Christ, the ground of those areas of our hearts becomes torn up or plowed. The hard places in that soil are broken up, any obstacles within the soil (rocks and roots) are taken out and the Former Rain begins to Rain upon those places softening them for the Planting of the Truth of God’s Word.

We have to choose to tear up (and relinquish) those fallow areas of our lives, but as we do, the Holy Spirit begins to tend to those fields of our hearts, planting the Seeds of the Word of God there and transforming those fallow places into the Fruitful Fields of God!

The more that I seek the Lord, the more of those fallow places of my life become transformed by the renewing of my mind and my personal submission to His work in my life.

Jesus Christ purchased the Deed to the Property of your life (He Bought the Farm) with His own precious Blood when you became Born Again, but just like any other farmer, it takes time to reclaim all of the fallow ground which is on the Farm of your life, but as we agree to plow up the ground of each of those areas, the Holy Spirit will hover over those places of your soil and turn those hard, rocky and useless places which you’ve deemed as worthless in your own life, into the Fruitful Fields of His Presence and Power!!!

“Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

FOR IT IS GOD WHICH WORKETH IN YOU BOTH TO WILL AND TO DO OF HIS GOOD PLEASURE.” Philippians 2:12-13

While many of us are busily trying to WORK OUT OUR SALVATION, we often don’t realize that it is GOD WORKING IN US planting, watering, and even harvesting by the Power of the Holy Spirit. I may be working upon the farm, but it is God Who gets the increase (1 Corinthians 3:7).

It’s time to Plow up those areas of your life that you’ve left dormant and desolate! SEND THE HOLY SPIRIT AN OPEN INVITATION TO COME AND BRING THE FORMER RAINS (Teaching Rains) UPON THOSE HARD PLACES OF YOUR SOUL, because as those areas are Plowed, that same hard and bitter land can be transformed by the Power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God into the Garden of the Lord.

Once those areas become productive for God, new areas of personal Identity will open up and greater maturity in Jesus Christ will emerge as well! Don’t let the Land of your heart lie fallow any longer, but watch as the Holy Spirit transforms it into a Plentiful Harvest from His Hands!
