Anticipating heaven
And what it might be like
I’m choosing now to walk by faith
And not by blinded sight.
A bright and shining Light
Is now upon display
Envisioned in my mind
With the Word to lead the way.
‘Cause glory now awaits
With Jesus on His way
And we’ll see Him face to face
In the clouds, without delay.
We’ll be in awe and wonder
That we made it to the feast
But Jesus’ blood and righteousness
Has paid the price for heaven’s seat.
The redeemed from all the ages
With glorified bodies on display
Will be seated around the table
Because the Lamb has made a way.
The certain hope of our redemption
Will manifest with sight
As our eyes will then behold Him;
Our bright and shining Light.
And the Centerpiece of Heaven
Will welcome us that day
Where we’ll be with Him forevermore
With Jesus on display!
“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.”
1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
“Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.” It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Then he said to me, “Write, ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.’ ” And he *said to me, “These are true words of God.””
